Access to Capital still a Challenge for Small Business

Dun & Bradstreet said the latest results from a survey of 10,637 privately held businesses indicated that small businesses continue to face major challenges in accessing the capital needed to grow. Despite these challenges, small businesses are much more optimistic about the economic forecast than larger companies and are more likely to hire in the coming months

Since the market dropped in 2008, small businesses have struggled with a host of challenges, as consumers have cut back, operating costs have risen and banks have reined in lending. The challenges facing a small business owner today can be overwhelming.

And those business owners don’t expect things to get easier any time soon.
